Platform Engineer – JBoss EAP

Banking/Fintech exposure is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to manage and evolve our JBoss EAP‑based Java application platform. The ideal candidate will focus on reliability, performance, security, and scalability to support high‑quality application delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and operate platform infrastructure supporting Java applications on JBoss EAP and OpenJDK.
- Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows using tools such as GitLab and Octopus Deploy.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and DevOps teams to define platform requirements and deliver resilient, production-ready solutions.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance and availability using tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using frameworks like Terraform or Ansible.
- Ensure platform security, stability, and compliance with internal policies and external standards.
- Diagnose and resolve platform-related issues across development, test, staging, and production environments.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused roles.
- Experience in JBoss EAP administration and support.
- Proficiency in automation using Ansible for configuration and deployment.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Platform experience across Azure, IIS, and Kubernetes environments.
- Experience working with virtualization platforms, such as VMware.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or Groovy.
