Position Overview

The Strategic Advisor for Information Security serves as a key partner within the Information Security Office, representing security interests at the Architecture Review Board (ARB), Change Advisory Board (CAB) and collaborating with global leaders on security requirements. This role exists to lead security strategy, manage projects, and advise the CISO, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Represent the Information Security Office at the ARB/CAB, advocating for security-focused architectural decisions.  Manage the design assurance process within Information Security Office.
  • Collaborate with global leaders in Information Security and other senior stakeholders within the organization to develop and refine security strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage project portfolios within the Information Security Office, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Act as the trusted strategic advisor to the CISO and other leadership members within Global IT, coordinating security initiatives and facilitating department operations.
  • Support cross-departmental communication efforts to enhance security awareness and adherence. 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, providing guidance and support of up to 2 direct reports, and supervise responsibilities over specific security projects or teams.
  • Drive the strategy and success for security within FUJIFILM Biotechnologies, ensuring alignment with the Company goals and objectives.
  • And other job duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • The minimum educational requirement for this role is a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, CISA or CISM)
  • The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, including experience in security architecture and project management, preferably in a pharmaceutical/biological operations environment.
  • 4+ years experience managing, leading and developing people.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring employees.
  • Experience working in a changing, project driven organization.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments.
  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background to deliver against role expectations.  

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of information security principles and architecture
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate at senior management levels, and cross functionally, and persuade others in complex situations.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Proven leadership skills or people and projects

The US salary range for this position is $161,000 to $251,000.  Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This is a global position that will support all our FUJIFILM Biotechnologies sites. This position can be based at any of our locations around the globe. Benefits and compensation will be governed by the location that you are based from and considered your home site.
