As our Workshop Electrician, you’ll be part of a friendly, skilled team that ensures our specialist equipment is ready to power high‑impact marine and offshore operations around the globe. Working primarily from our Falmouth workshop — the heart of our technical operations — you’ll collaborate closely with our fitting and fabrication teams and report directly to our Electrical Supervisor. This is hands‑on, varied work where no two days are the same, and where your skills directly contribute to safe and successful projects worldwide.

  • Prepare equipment for offshore and onshore operations, ensuring safe and reliable performance.
  • Support the mobilisation and installation of jack‑up barges, offshore drills, and subsea drilling systems as required.
  • Deliver high‑quality workmanship that aligns with Fugro’s safety, quality, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot marine electrical systems, low‑voltage distribution systems, safety systems, and control systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with workshop teams to ensure equipment is delivered on time and in top condition.
  • Ensure all activities meet Fugro’s safety and quality procedures—safety is central to everything we do.
  • Participate in global project support when required, including short‑term travel to assist with mobilisation or maintenance activities.
  • Contribute positively to our continuous improvement culture, helping us innovate and deliver even better results.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences. If you meet most of these requirements and believe you’d be a great addition to our team, we encourage you to apply.

Essential

  • Experience working with electrical systems in an engineering, industrial, marine, or workshop environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to safe working practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
  • Experience working with 3 phase systems and motors / generators.
  • Experience with carrying out maintenance activities on electrical equipment.
