Position:                    Full-time | 

Schedule:                  Monday through Friday / 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation:         $22 hr. - $25 hr.

We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician to join our enthusiastic team. 

Job Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Support Technician is responsible for managing computer-based systems at Sagewood for both residents and staff, providing prompt and accurate solutions while demonstrating exemplary hospitality and customer service. The IT Support Technician receives and reviews IT requirements, inquiries and problems concerning computer hardware, software and services while working to discover solutions to these various issues. The IT Support Technician Troubleshoots diagnoses and resolves low level IT problems in response to residents and staff reported incidents.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties:

  • Provides computer support to residents and staff for IT equipment, software systems and networks
  • Instruct users on proper use of IT systems and provides information to help improve IT operations
  • Receives and effectively responds to phone calls, walks-ins, or computer-generated service requests from residents or staff
  • Routes/Escalates difficult and complex issues reported by residents or staff to the appropriate specialist for resolution, Life Care Services (LCS) IT Support Team
  • Provides basic computer skills training to residents and staff
  • Assist with the maintenance of proper hardware inventory, setup and installation of personal computers (PCs) and printer replacement
  • Performs maintenance and makes repair/replacement recommendations on hardware
  • Assist with tech and A/V setup needs for residents and staff meetings
  • Learns the functionality and capabilities of the systems and trains staff to utilize each function effectively and to its maximum potential

Other Duties:

  • Assist with onboarding new residents and staff from a technological aspect
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
  • Installs software and software updates per LCS IT authorization
  • Performs other Community Life Services duties as assigned which may include digital communications, collateral creation, event and activities supported and m

Flexibility and Availability:

  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
  • Attend in-service training, online education sessions, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree, or high school degree or GED with minimum of two years of experience in IT security
  • Certification and help desk experience preferred
  • Knowledge of IT and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and methods to participate in the planning and delivery of full range customer support services
  • Possess the ability to install, configure, upgrade, analyze, and troubleshoot all hardware and software components
  • Skilled in problem solving and issue resolving
  • Hospitality and service focused
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing
  • Experience installing/configuring PC's, printers and other devices

Physical Requirements:

  • The work is primary sedentary with occasional light physical effort such as walking, bending and small equipment handling.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • The IT support Technician may need to maneuver in small spaces and reach high places.
