What You Will Do

Freshpet is seeking a hands-on Functional Solution Architect specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Advanced Warehousing, including the Warehouse Management System (WMS) app. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting warehouse operations within D365.

Solution Design & Implementation:

• Design, configure, and deploy D365 Advanced Warehousing & WMS for Freshpet’s warehouse operations.
• Lead the setup of inbound (receiving, put-away), outbound (picking, packing, shipping), and inventory management processes.
• Configure wave processing, work templates, location directives, cycle counting, and replenishment strategies.
• Optimize warehouse layouts, storage zones, and inventory tracking for real-time visibility.
• Implement WMS Mobile App configurations for barcode scanning, picking workflows, and label printing.

System Support & Continuous Improvement:

• Act as the go-to expert for D365 Advanced Warehousing, resolving system issues and optimizing processes.
• Monitor and maintain warehouse system performance, ensuring seamless operations.
• Work with end-users and warehouse teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance system usability.
• Stay current on Microsoft’s D365 roadmap, evaluating and implementing new features
• Business Collaboration & Process Optimization:
• Partner with Logistics, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to translate business needs into system solutions.
• Identify and implement warehouse automation opportunities to improve productivity.
• Provide training and support for warehouse users on best practices and system functionality.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PLs) and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow. 

How You Will Make an Impact

As a key member of the Business Systems team, this individual will work closely with Logistics, Operations, and Supply Chain teams as well as our implementation partner to optimize warehouse processes, improve efficiency, and drive automation. The ideal candidate is a techno-functional expert with deep business process knowledge and thrives in a hands-on role. 

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of experience in D365 F&O Advanced Warehousing & WMS.
• Hands-on expertise in warehouse configuration, picking/packing workflows, wave processing, and inventory control.
• Strong understanding of warehouse execution processes and system-driven optimizations.
• Experience with WMS Mobile App setup, RF scanning, and label printing.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues, optimize workflows, and train end-users.

Preferred

• Experience in food & beverage, manufacturing, or consumer goods industries.
• Knowledge of 3PL integrations, TMS connectivity, and warehouse automation.
• Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps, or Azure DevOps for process automation is a plus.
