About this role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated, first-principles hardware builder who thrives in a fast-paced, technically intense environment and can deliver top-notch results even when the path is ambiguous. This individual will be a core contributor on our next-generation, autonomous metal 3D printing factory platform, designing and shipping the custom electronics and sensor-driven control systems that enable real-time, ML-guided manufacturing at scale.

What will you be doing?

  • Designing, integrating, and deploying custom electronics that power high-speed sensing, data acquisition, and real-time control across our next-generation printing factory platform.
  • Owning full lifecycle hardware development end to end: electrical architecture, requirements definition, component selection, schematic capture, PCB design support, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, validation, performance checkout, and productionization.
  • Building for compute-heavy systems, including the electrical backbone for high-performance computing stacks and interfaces involving FPGAs and GPUs, where timing, throughput, and reliability matter.
  • Developing and using lab test setups and instrumentation to debug the unexpected, troubleshoot complex system-level issues, and take designs from bench to field with high confidence.
  • Expanding the team’s design bandwidth by taking ownership of major subsystems and driving bring-up through validation and deployment, not just supporting or testing someone else’s design.
  • Collaborating tightly with mechanical, software, controls, and manufacturing teams in a low-ego environment to “build the plane while flying it” and deliver a system that has never existed before.
