Must hold a valid Oregon Limited Residential License, Electrical License, or Journeyman Electrician License. This position involves traveling between Portland, OR, and Medford, OR.
About the Role:
Join Freedom Forever as a Journeyman Electrician – Service, where you’ll troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential solar systems. You’ll work independently and as part of a team to ensure top performance and safety across our installed systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair PV systems, inverters, and electrical components
- Perform re-roofs, roof repairs, and drywall work as needed
- Install and commission solar hardware and monitoring systems
- Troubleshoot arc faults, isolation faults, and inverter issues
- Replace faulty optimizers, microinverters, and monitoring equipment
- Work with electrical panels, subpanels, and conduit
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete RMAs
- Travel as needed for service calls
Requirements:
- Valid Oregon Journeyman or LRT (Limited Renewable Energy Technician) License
- 1+ year of solar experience
- Strong electrical and roofing skills
- Familiarity with Enphase, SolarEdge, SunPower, Tesla, LG, etc.
- Ability to read plans and follow NEC codes
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physical Demands:
- Lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, kneel, crawl, and work on rooftops
- Use hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
