The Electrochemical Energy Storage Department combines material development, cell and stack design, and system testing for the development and validation of electrochemical systems such as fuel cells and bipolar flow and non-flow batteries. An interdisciplinary team of engineers, chemists, and materials scientists works together to optimize stack-based systems with a focus on efficiency, power density, service life, and cost-effectiveness.

Remuneration according to the general works agreement for employing assistant staff. The weekly working hours are 39 hours. The internship can also be completed on a part-time basis.

What you'll do
- The intern will conduct research into sealing concepts and standards, and design and develop seals for electrochemical cells and stacks. They will also perform CAD design of parts and FEM simulation to investigate seal compression.
