Position Summary:  US Wealth Management Private Markets Associate

The Private Markets Associate partners closely with Private Markets Director, product specialists, and key platform relationships to drive awareness and capital raising for Franklin Templeton’s private markets investment strategies including private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Our team helps educate financial advisors, support new product launches, and ensure that advisors and platforms have the tools and insights needed to bring private markets to their clients.

We focus on driving sales growth through data-driven targeting, deep relationship management, and strategic engagement across wirehouses, RIAs, and national accounts.

Department goals and initiatives:

  • Expand distribution and advisor adoption of Franklin Templeton’s private markets capabilities.
  • Leverage data and collaboration to identify high-potential advisors and opportunities for growth.
  • Support new product launches and key strategic initiatives across top partner platforms.

What excites us about our team’s role:
Private markets are one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic areas in asset management. Our team sits at the center of this evolution: connecting investors with opportunities traditionally reserved for institutions. You’ll have exposure to senior leaders, learn how institutional-grade products are distributed in the wealth channel, and see firsthand how education and storytelling drive adoption.

How this intern impacts success:
The intern will play a meaningful role in supporting sales campaigns, analyzing data, refining sales materials, and strengthening relationships with financial advisors and home office partners. Their work will directly support revenue generation and strategic growth initiatives across the Private Markets business.

Team Culture:

We are a high-energy, collaborative, and client-centric team that values accountability, curiosity, and partnership. We work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Data & Analytics teams to deliver a seamless experience for our external partners.

Our culture is defined by open communication, continuous learning, and a shared passion for helping financial advisors access the private markets. Team members are encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, and take ownership of projects that make a real impact.

An intern in this department can expect to learn:

  • How private market products (private equity, private credit, real estate) are structured, marketed, and distributed.
  • How internal and external sales teams collaborate to drive business growth and client engagement.
  • How to interpret sales and advisor data to identify trends, target opportunities, and support decision-making.
  • Best practices in communication, presentation, and relationship management in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Can Include:

  • Supporting internal sales efforts through data analysis, advisor outreach tracking, and follow-up materials.
  • Assisting with product and platform marketing initiatives, including launch communications and content updates.
  • Building dashboards and reports to monitor pipeline, advisor activity, and event impact.
  • Partnering with the broader Private Markets Distribution and Marketing teams on strategic campaigns or projects.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Interest in finance, asset management, or private markets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools a plus.
  • Curiosity, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic, high-visibility area of the business.
