Four Cities is seeking to add a new associate to its team. The associate will be expected to work across several functions including sourcing and diligence of new venture investments, investor relations, portfolio engagement, firm operations, and strategic planning. Four Cities is seeking a fast learner with a combination of situational judgment, attention to detail, service orientation, network depth, financial acumen, effective communication, and emotional intelligence. What you'll do
- Help our team with sourcing and analysis of new investment opportunities
- Bubble up promising companies to the Partnership
- Perform strategic due diligence
- Work with members of our team to make investment decisions
- Spearhead the workflow process for new investments from start to finish
- Help our team with fundraising and investor relations
- Prepare Quarterly Letters and corresponding materials
- Field ad hoc requests from Limited Partners
- Complete various data analysis requests on the portfolio
- Maintain the CRM of Limited Partners
- Work with the Partnership to host a virtual AGM
- Help our team with portfolio founder engagement and community building
- Foster Four Cities’ relationships with the force-of-nature founders we back and help those founders build community
- Manage our programmatic approach to helping our portfolio companies to grow and succeed
- Support on efforts to gather founders together, bringing firm-wide benefits to companies, and taking a strategic approach to building the Four Cities ecosystem
- Help our team with firm operations and fund administration
- Manage our portfolio companies dashboard and find ways to refine it
- Manage relationships with external partners (fund admin, finance, tax, legal)
- Support with regulatory filings and legal work
- Track fund deployment and initiate capital calls
- Follow up on action items deemed important by colleagues
