Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and coordinate work orders and/or schedules to ensure products are safely manufactured and scheduled delivery dates are met according to the production schedule.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Associates, making sure they are working on the ‘right’ jobs.
  • Maintain workflow, ensuring availability of proper materials and tools for designated areas. 
  • Provide training for team members on procedures, methods, problem-solving, quality requirements, and safety requirements. 
  • Play a key role in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and audit compliance to those standards.
  • Coach team members on safety procedures and requirements, programs, audits, department inspections, and follow-up on safety issues. 
  • Work in the department, as needed, to support the business and teams. 
  • Maintain accurate records of production within the department.
  • Support and assist the team in achieving maximum safety, service, quality and efficiency, and productivity goals.  
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This role is for internal candidates (Solar Innovations Associates) only.
  • A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Solar Innovations Manufacturing experience within the designated department.
  • At a minimum, must be able to perform Level 1 and Level 2 functions within the assigned department.
  • Strong understanding of department knowledge, safety, productivity, quality, and service. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to display a positive and approachable demeanor, while effectively directing other team members.
  • Must be able to maintain a ‘role model’ reputation throughout the Company, while also creating good working relationships with all plant personnel
  • Maintain a pattern of regular, consistent attendance.
  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $45,780 USD - $54,912 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
