Fortrea is seeking an Associate Project Finance Associate to join our Project Finance Management team. This entry-level role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow their financial acumen in a global, matrixed environment. You will support project financial tracking, reporting, and analysis while learning key processes related to revenue recognition and project health monitoring. This role is a temporary role with the potential to develop into a permanent role in the future.
Office/Hybrid/Home based - Brazil.
Temporary 6 month contract.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Review and understand project budget grids
Develop customized unit tracking tools leveraging existing templates and budgets
Ability to process change orders and update necessary tools as needed
Partner with project teams as needed to educate and drive monthly compliance
Compile compliance metrics, escalate and report out as needed
Assist in calculating revenue recognition using the Estimate at Completion (EAC) methodology.
Maintain accurate project financial records in accordance with GAAP.
Support monthly project reviews by preparing financial data and variance analysis.
Assist with tracking project financial performance.
Collaborate with project teams to identify and escalate financial risks or issues.
Input and maintain project data in financial systems for accurate coding and reporting.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Strong Excel skills
High level of attention to detail.
Knowledge of and willingness to learn ASC-606 and EAC methodologies.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Experience (Minimum Required):
• 1+ minimum years of experience in financial analysis or accounting (internships included), preferably in a global or matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Strong preference for CRO Experience
Workday Financials or Adaptive Planning experience is a plus.
A basic level of familiarity with Power BI is preferred.
