FortisAlberta is looking for a Transformational Change Advisor who thrives on collaboration, influencing outcomes, and empowering people through meaningful transformation. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping how our teams adapt, grow, and succeed. Working closely with leaders, HR, and project teams, you’ll guide the people side of change by ensuring our initiatives not only launch successfully, but are embraced, understood, and sustained.

Job Description
•    Lead and execute organizational change management strategies using structured methodologies.
•    Conduct change impact, sponsor, and risk assessments; develop targeted communication and change plans.
•    Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Communications, and leaders to identify and mitigate people‑related risks.
•    Measure and report on people readiness, engagement, and overall change adoption success.
•    Co‑create change strategies and maintain strong communication channels with business stakeholders.
•    Provide confidential coaching and consultation to leaders and teams on transformation best practices.
•    Integrate change activities with project planning—including milestones, timelines, and budget alignment.
•    Support the development of organizational change capability through tools, templates, lessons learned, and cross‑functional collaboration.

 

Qualifications
•    Experience applying structured change management methodologies.
•    A degree in Business, Communications, HR, Organizational Development, or related field; minimum five years supporting strategic change initiatives (or equivalent experience).
•    Related Change Management certifications are an asset but not required (Prosci, PMP). 
•    Strong relationship‑building, collaboration, and stakeholder‑influencing skills.
•    Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across all levels.
•    Demonstrated ability to plan strategically and execute effectively in complex, changing environments.
•    Sound judgment and professionalism in navigating sensitive and confidential matters.

 

Important Information
•    Based out of our corporate office in Airdrie, Alberta.
•    Permanent, full-time role.
•    Hybrid opportunity, with potential to work w days per week from home (Mondays and Fridays).
•    Monday – Friday schedule.
•    Occasional overnight travel (less than 10%).
•    Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
