TŪRANGA THE ROLE 

Sterile Sciences Manager 

Over the last few years our Sterile Sciences team have focused on sustainability and have significantly reduced the use of disposable packaging, opting instead for reusable rigid packaging as a standard.  They continue to look for more they can do and are working on a project to source as much as they can locally. 

We have recently begun a hospital expansion where we will be adding another 4 operating theatres bringing us to a total of 9 theatres. This role requires a Manager that can navigate change with foresight, so we continually improve and remain innovative.  

Responsibilities include growing and developing the team, technology improvements, processes and procedures and supporting the perioperative and ward services in the hospital. All the while continuing our passion for sustainability. 

 Its important to know that this is a role that is both leadership and with some hands-on corresponding with patient flow.

Provide high quality sterile services to the Hospital so our theatres and wards run safely delivering optimal patient care 

Hours of Work are Monday to Friday from approximately 8 am – 5pm. 

KO KOE    ABOUT YOU 

These are some key essentials about you; 

• Experienced with & enjoy leading teams 

• You will be a good, open and caring communicator. 

• At a minimum you will have New Zealand Sterilising Technology Certificate Level 4 working towards Level 5. 

• Current registration with NZSSA 

• 5+ years in Sterile Sciences 

You must have current NZ working rights.
