Job Summary:

At Forj Medical we have reimagined how we engage college students. Starting in 2020, we developed the Re-Imagined Student Experience Program (RISE Program) which offers year-round internship experiences, in a variety of disciplines to enhance your education and provide hands-on work experience to help launch your career in the medical device field. We are looking for students interested in the medical device field to join our organization and collaborate with our team to bring cutting-edge medical devices to life. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

This role consists of 10-12 weeks during the Summer of 2026, starting in May and ending in August. Come join our growing team!

  • Work closely with our Safety Committee to address safety concerns in the workplace. 
  • Ensure production is compliant with OSHA, FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory standards. 
  • Identify workstation ergonomics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of emergency preparedness. 
  • Assist in any other relevant tasks as assigned.  

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Pursuing a college degree in a relevant field 
    • Occupational health and safety 
    • Industrial Engineering 
    • Environmental Health & Safety 
    • Biomedical Engineering 
    • Other STEM-related fields or degrees with coursework in workplace safety or regulatory compliance. 
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA, ISO 13485). 
  • Basic understanding of risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident reporting. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six-Sigma (Preferred) 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
