About this role

Serve as a PD engineer responsible for 10 speed RWD and RWD hybrid propulsion systems and the specific transmission components and assemblies. Take ownership of the system & components. Work hand in hand with specific component engineers. Work with Ford analytical teams, component engineers, and suppliers to define component duty cycles. Take ownership of the DV and PV strategies to deliver a best-in-class powertrain system. Work as a team to improve part quality and increase the customer experience. Lead teams through validation of components and sub-assemblies. Lead structured root cause investigations and organize team collaboration. Lead teams through vehicle level and transmission level milestones. Define ES Specs for component and suppliers. Complete design assessments including design rules, assembly stacks, print updates. Must be in Livonia, Michigan 4 days a week or more depending on specific testing/hardware needs. Must be approved to travel globally. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 2 years of automotive transmission or powertrain experience. Master's degree in engineering. Hands-on problem solver and strong root cause skills. Independent, self-starter when required. Good communicator and can foster relationships with suppliers. A “be curious” and “continued improvement” mindset.
