About this role

Ensure process, facilities, equipment and tooling are provided for new programs in accordance with Powertrain Standards, Bill of Process (BOP), Procedures and Guidelines and Global Product Development System (GPDS) requirements. Develop Power Electronics BoP Standards Drive Simultaneous Engineering activities, cost studies and investment efficiency activities to meet targets Deliver Quality Operation Systems (QOS) requirements through Failure Mode Avoidance, Dynamic Control Planning and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (e.g. FMA, DCP, FMEAs, SCCAF, etc.) Develop workplans to deliver programs and projects Utilize Lessons Learned / Continuous Improvement Process Perform supervisory duties (individualized objective setting and alignment to strategic action plans, check-ins, performance reviews, travel requests, timecard approvals, compensation planning) for all personnel assigned. Lead, mentor, coach, counsel, recognize and motivate employees Assess employee competencies and support individual development plans, support employee growth through training classes and development assignments Provide plant assistance for ongoing kaizen events and extraordinary quality/downtime challenges Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial OR Electrical, preferably) AND minimum of five (5) years' experience in Manufacturing Manufacturing experience in Assembly or Machining process engineering and New Programs / Launches (Engine, Transmission, Power Unit or Axle)
