<p><strong>Description</strong></p><p>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Costing and Sourcing Assistant to join our Commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, commercially minded and keen to support the end-to-end costing and sourcing activities that help drive margin and product availability across our ranges.</p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with Buyers, Suppliers and the wider Supply Chain team to support accurate cost modelling, supplier onboarding and day-to-day purchase order management. Reporting to the Senior Costing and Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products are sourced competitively, costs are maintained and processes run smoothly.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li> <p><strong>Costing & Pricing Support</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Prepare and maintain product cost sheets, ensuring all input costs (raw materials, components, duty, freight, and landed costs) are captured accurately.</p></li> <li><p>Support margin analysis and price scenario modelling to inform pricing decisions and commercial negotiations.</p></li> <li><p>Work with Finance to reconcile cost variances and support month-end reporting where required.</p></li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Sourcing Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Assist with supplier onboarding, maintaining supplier records and ensuring compliance with company requirements.</p></li> <li><p>Raise and manage purchase orders, track confirmations and chase outstanding documentation to ensure timely production and delivery.</p></li> <li><p>Coordinate with the Quality and Compliance teams to ensure necessary certifications and testing are in place.</p></li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Supplier Communication & Relationship Management</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Act as a point of contact for suppliers on routine queries, price updates and order status, escalating issues to the buyer or manager as necessary.</p></li> <li><p>Support negotiations on pricing and lead times under the guidance of the Buying team.</p></li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Process Improvement & Data Management</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Maintain accurate data in ERP and costing systems; ensure documents and records are filed in line with company standards.</p></li> <li><p>Identify opportunities to streamline costing and sourcing processes and contribute to continuous improvement projects.</p></li> </ul> </li></ul><p><strong>About you</strong></p><ul> <li><p>Previous experience in a costing, sourcing or buying support role within retail, fashion or consumer goods is preferred.</p></li> <li><p>Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.</p></li> <li><p>Proficient with Excel and comfortable working with data; experience of ERP or PLM systems is advantageous.</p></li> <li><p>Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.</p></li> <li><p>Organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p></li> <li><p>A proactive and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop within the team.</p></li></ul><p>We invest in training and development and are committed to supporting your career progression.
