About this role

At Fogo de Chão, we strive to give our guests an unforgettable dining experience of discovery while showcasing the Culinary Art of Churrasco. Our mission is to ignite fire and joy to care for our team, our guests, and our communities. We believe better futures start when we bring our best to the table every day to Feed a Purposeful Future – starting with our team members. We feed our teams with fulfilling job opportunities, making space around the table so everyone feels welcome. At Fogo, we’ll provide you with a fulfilling career with professional and personal growth opportunities at every level. Our values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility and Deixa Comigo (we’ve got you!) are more than just words, it’s how we do things every day.

We are looking for a highly analytical FP&A leader to act as a key thought partner to senior management, guiding data-driven decisions across a complex, multi-unit restaurant organization. This role goes beyond traditional budgeting and reporting, taking ownership of developing advanced forecasting models, turning operational data into actionable insights, and supporting disciplined decisions on capital, labor, and margins at a large scale.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling expertise, strong systems orientation (Anaplan or similar), and the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear narratives for executives and the board.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Financial Modeling

  • Support the company’s forecasting architecture, including short-term, rolling, and long-range financial forecasts
  • Design and maintain forecasting models that connect unit-level operational metrics (AUVs, traffic, labor hours, wage rates, food inflation, promotions) to financial outcomes
  • Support cross-functional partners (e.g., marketing, supply chain, real estate) with scenario, sensitivity, and pre/post analyses to drive revenue growth and optimize profitability

Data-Driven Performance Analytics

  • Translate large, complex datasets into concise insights that clearly articulate what changed, why it changed, and what leadership should do next
  • Create and own reporting that balances financial, operational, and unit-level performance indicators
  • Partner with Operations and Marketing to evaluate performance of specific restaurant cohorts, regions, channels, and dayparts

FP&A Systems & Data Infrastructure

  • Serve as functional owner of FP&A system (Anaplan), ensuring models are accurate, scalable, and auditable
  • Support standardization of forecasting, reporting, and analytics processes
  • Partner with IT/Data teams to improve data quality, data governance, and reporting efficiency

Board, Executive & Investor-Facing Deliverables

  • Produce analytically rigorous PowerPoint board decks and executive materials that clearly connect financial results to underlying business drivers
  • Establish best-in-class standards for modeling, documentation, assumptions, and executive communication
  • Ensure forecasts and narratives are internally consistent, defensible, and data-validated

What Differentiates This Role

  • This is not a passive reporting role; success is defined by insight quality and decision impact
  • This role is expected to foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • The FP&A function acts as a strategic engine of the business, not a scorekeeper

Key Attributes for Success

  • Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and data-driven
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and imperfect data
  • Able to balance precision with speed in a fast-moving operating environment
  • Trusted advisor to senior leadership, not just a functional expert

Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience; multi-unit restaurant or consumer business experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical problem-solving
  • Experience with FP&A systems (Anaplan highly preferred; Adaptive, Hyperion, or similar acceptable)
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into executive-ready insights
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively
  • Experience supporting board-level and investor-facing financial materials
  • BA/BS Required, MBA a plus

Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time Team Members on the first of the month following their start date. Additionally, company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability are provided where allowed. We offer a comprehensive voluntary benefits package including Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Accident Coverage.
