Role Overview of the HR Associate - Talent Acquisition:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing employee recruitment while providing support across multiple functions of the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities of the HR Associate - Talent Acquisition:
- Demonstrates the Company’s mission, while successfully performing its core values related to integrity, service, excellence, stability, strength, respect, and teamwork.
- Regular and timely attendance in the office is an essential function of the position.
- Recruitment
- Research and attend recruiting events such as career fairs, campus visits, social media outreach and networking functions, to engage and attract prospective candidates and promote employment opportunities.
- Create requisitions and post jobs to career center and external sources such as HandShake.
- Manage full cycle recruiting for various roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Conduct training on ADP and keep hiring checklist information up to date.
- Conduct phone interviews and reference checks.
- Send weekly reports on employee count and job openings, as well as monthly turnover reports, to leadership.
- Wellness & Benefits Support
- Oversee ordering and delivery of fruit to home office departments and Lincoln and Omaha district offices and submit invoices for payment.
- Coordinate monthly healthy lunch options such as Meal in a Pan and salads and submit invoices for payment.
- Assist with safety/wellness events such as onsite screenings and flu shot clinics, as needed.
- Present new hire wellness orientations during onboarding.
- Maintain employee registrations on the wellness app.
- Assist with the review of monthly pension payment reconciliation.
- Assist with quarterly retiree health bill mailing and logging payments.
- Assist with logging Medicare penalty reimbursements.
- Update and upload monthly wellness census.
- Other Human Resources Duties
- Assist in Human Resources projects and special events such as retirements and holidays
- Crosstrain for general tasks such as creating security badges, new hire orientations, data collection, audits, surveys, etc.
- Coordinate with the app designer to keep the TeamFMNE app up to date.
- Oversee the TripLog mileage system and be the point person for questions.
- Maintain the Lease Value Spreadsheet and review monthly recording of personal mileage for accuracy. Review quarterly with data from Financial Reporting.
- Provide TripLog onboarding for new employees and provide training.
- Support the Director of Human Resources with projects, as needed.
Skills and Qualifications of the HR Associate - Talent Acquisition:
- A four-year degree in business, accounting, or human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred.
- Minimum of six months’ office experience, preferred.
- Familiarity HRIS systems and inner workings of a Human Resources department preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Experience in using ADP Payroll System, preferred.
- Familiarity with online job vendors such as Indeed.com, HandShake, LinkedIn, and social media recruiting strategies, etc., preferred.
- Good aptitude with numbers and attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to produce reports and business correspondence, and communicate effectively via letter, telephone, and in person.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Able to work/interact with employees in all departments and at all Company levels.
- Ability to work on own initiative recognizing timeliness of all responsibilities and functions.
