Manager - Cargo Capacity

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To lead and manage the Cargo Capacity Management function, ensuring optimal utilization of available capacity across the flydubai network to achieve maximum revenue and yield performance, overseeing strategic planning, system optimization, and capacity control processes, ensuring effective collaboration with Pricing, Operations, and Commercial teams, including freighter operations, to meet the airline’s business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements cargo capacity management strategies to optimize load factors, yields, and network revenue performance.
• Manages systemwide capacity planning and allocation processes, ensuring alignment with commercial forecasts and operational realities.
• Oversees daily and seasonal capacity performance analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensures efficient coordination between Pricing, Network Planning, and Operations Control for effective deployment of available capacity, including ad hoc and freighter flights.
• Defines and monitors overbooking parameters, allotment policies, and space control procedures across the network.
• Evaluates and approves cargo charter or special lift requests in coordination with Commercial and Operations teams.
• Leads capacity management team in evaluating and allocating capacity to global Cargo Distributors, interline partners, and e-booking platforms.
• Ensures accurate and timely updates of capacity data in SkyChain and third-party distribution systems.
• Works closely with Procurement to identify RFS providers, evaluate performance, and negotiate service agreements.
• Supports system enhancement and automation initiatives in collaboration with IT and Cargo Systems teams to improve capacity optimization tools.
• Drives performance management of capacity staff, ensuring skills development and adherence to operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Fluent in English
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in cargo capacity management, revenue optimization, or cargo planning functions. Proven experience in system-based cargo capacity control, space allocation, and revenue management systems.
• Years with qualifications: 8 - 10 years

ISR REQUIREMENTS

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
