The purpose of this position is to work on problems of advanced scope by assisting and supporting the Estimating specialists as requested to meet the project job requirements. This position provides technical support for the Estimating function. This support can include areas of project controls and/or estimating as it relates to capital cost estimating, planning, scheduling, cost management, and progress reporting. This role may act as the lead technician and oversee other technicians and their work processes.
• Collect data and update and produce complex reports
• Obtain historical data, cost reports, purchase orders, subcontracts, deviation logs, forecast data, and other data necessary for development of an estimate or cost forecast
• Perform scope/cost reconciliation for comparing a past estimate to a current estimate
• Assist with preparation of complex presentations for project reviews, client reviews, management reviews, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Perform material takeoffs from drawings as requested by Estimating specialists
• Ensure that all work performed adheres to contract commercial terms and company/client policies and procedures
• High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
• Good math and analytical skills
• Strong computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
• Broad knowledge of company reference systems
• Field Construction experience

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $48,000.00 - $83,000.00
