Role
The Modernization Major Construction Project Director provides leadership within the organization (i.e.Site/Reachback/Field Engineering, Construction, Project Management, QA, HSE, Project Controls, etc) and is primarily engaged in the management and direction of 2 large capital projects (i.e. Dragon Fire and J5 Phoenix).
This position requires the application of knowledge gained from executing cost reimbursable EPC Projects. The Modernization Major Construction Project Director has the full authority in areas which impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.
Scope
The purpose of the Modernization Major Construction Project Director is to manage and direct the performance of all the EPC activities for the 2 large capital projects valued greater than $500M in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. The role requires knowledge and background of assigned work, ability to grasp complex situations with ease, and see the overall picture and alternative solutions to meet project objectives. The role directs the EPC Project Team as necessary in their respective roles to meet or exceed all project objectives.
Responsibilities
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-four (24) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
