About this role

Role Summary:

The Regional Parts Engineer will be a key member of the Services & Solutions team and will provide real‑time parts order and parts program support to our customers, with a strong commercial focus and frequent onsite engagement. This role is responsible for building, implementing, and managing parts programs at targeted customer sites within Flowserve’s Flow Control business. It acts as a liaison between Flowserve’s Commercial and Operations organizations, working closely with end‑user sales teams to identify growth opportunities, leverage Flowserve’s products and services, and ensure customer requirements are met. The position blends commercial strength with practical technical understanding to identify parts needs during onsite walkdowns and translate those findings into coordinated commercial offerings.

Houston based role with 40% travel.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, launch, and manage customer‑specific parts programs.
• Identify and prioritize target customer sites for program creation.
• Conduct regular onsite plant surveys and walkdowns to assess installed equipment and parts requirements.
• Hold confident, meaningful customer conversations about maintenance needs, operating conditions, and application considerations.
• Translate onsite findings into structured commercial offerings in partnership with Commercial Operations.
• Track and manage KPIs tied to parts programs to ensure performance and renewal.
• Support turnaround and repair‑event planning by identifying and organizing parts needs early.
• Coordinate internally to ensure accurate parts information, BOM updates, and timely quotation support.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance program adoption and aftermarket growth.
• Provide clear, tailored technical and commercial communication to customer stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Strong commercial orientation with the ability to engage customers comfortably and confidently.
• Ability to perform effective onsite walkdowns, surveys, and parts‑needs assessments.
• Practical engineering understanding of flow control equipment, including valves, to support credible discussions in the field.
• Ability to convert customer/site information into structured parts program requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer programs simultaneously.
• Ability to work safely in plant and shop environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites and Flowserve facilities. (40%)
Preferred:
• Experience developing or managing customer parts programs.
• Experience performing plant walkdowns, equipment surveys, or field inspections.
• Familiarity with Flowserve’s Flow Control products, tools, and business systems.
• Background in aftermarket, field support, or customer‑facing technical roles.
