About this role
Role Summary :
This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the assets, applications and related infrastructure. The person shall identify, diagnose and rectify any issues with assets, software, services, and applications.
Responsibilities:
- System and Application Management: Install, configure and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage hardware, virtual machines, EPBX, cloud services, network devices like routers and switches.
- Performance and Availability: Proactively monitor systems, network performance, and backups to ensure high levels of availability and performance.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls and VPNs, and ensure infrastructure adheres to security standards.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure business operations can continue in the event of a disruption.
- Technical Support: Provide escalation support for network/Server issues and offer technical guidance to other IT staff.
- Work with development and security teams to ensure seamless integration and appropriate environments for applications.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Asset Management: Manage assets and its budgets, related software purchases & Inventory.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology/Electronics and Communication/Electrical & Electronics with 5-8 years of related experience
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server administration).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and SQL Server and other databases
- Experience working with programing languages Java, C++, ASP.Net is a plus
- Experience managing servers, firewalls, and network configurations
- Strong understanding of virtualisation tools like VMware or Hyper-V
- Skilled in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN setups
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Experience implementing monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery plans
- Ability to troubleshoot complex performance and connectivity issues
- Good time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
