Are you looking for a job opportunity that will allow you to put your welding and fabrication talents to use, we may have the perfect place for you. Centrex is seeking a skilled fabricator with a highly-trained eye for quality to join our Stainless Steel Process Skid Team. In this position, you’ll be exposed to the some of the most basic to cutting edge high-tech welding and fabricating tools in use in our industry. Bring your skills while learning new and more advanced methods for fabrication. You join a team who supports Centrex vision of delivering products of the highest quality to our customers. Additionally, you’ll be able to take advantage of our competitive pay, vacation, 401K and Medical/Dental/Vision insurance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares
  • Prepare each product component in its appropriate spot as noted in the blueprints for proper size and alignment
  • Mark spots to cut and use tools to manipulate Stainless Steel Sheet, bar or by cutting, hammering, bending or grinding the workpiece
  • Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion
  • Maneuver basic hand fabrication machines, such as grinders, drills, porta band saws, wrenches and hammers to cut, bend, grind and adjust and or assemble materials.
  • Make templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Reliable and prompt
  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in fabrication, pipe fitting or Welding
  • Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
  • Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds or more
  • Ability to work as a Team or independently to finish task on time

Preferred:

  • Welding certificate completion (Tig Welding, Orbital Welding, Laser Welders)
  • Food and Beverage Piping Standards
  • Understanding of construction tasks and industrial processes
  • Running the following equipment: Hy-Definition Plasma Table, Auto Band Saws, Grooving and Threading machines, Sheers, Breaks, Punches, laths and endmills.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
