About this role
• Experience in SQL Server, PostgreSQL Administration.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and related tools (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or cloud-native DBs).
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks or issues.
• Perform regular database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies.
• Monitor capacity and plan for growth, ensuring scalability of database systems.
• Apply patches, service packs, and version upgrades while minimizing downtime.
• Support developers with database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy regulations
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems (if required).
Additional Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Windows and Linux Operating System.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Implement automation for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
• Manage virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.)
• Support cloud infrastructure (AWS) including compute, networking, and storage.
• Maintain patch management, updates, and upgrades for servers and infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with security teams to apply security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.

Mon to Fri 9am - 6pm
