About this role
FlexStaff is hiring an RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician) to join our client's team. This involves working closely with school-aged children (k-12), implementing IEPs under BCBA supervision, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Location: Commack, NY
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience
Role Functions:
- Implement behavior intervention plans and individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and accurately record data on student progress and behaviors during sessions.
- Collaborate with the supervising BCBA, teachers, staff, and families to assess student needs and modify treatment approaches. You will also provide training to school staff and caregivers on behavioral strategies and techniques.
- Provide direct support with empathy and respect, fostering a positive experience for students.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and school policies in all interactions.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and autism support.
