About this role
- Escorts patient to and from examination and/or procedure areas.
- Shadows Lead or Sr. MOA when performing vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs.
- Reviews scheduled appointments to determine needed supplies.
- Obtains and sets-ups supplies and equipment in advance.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Current enrollment in a Medical Assistant program, required.

What you'll do
- The extern will assist in patient flow by preparing examination rooms and escorting patients. They will also shadow a Lead or Sr. Medical Assistant while observing and assisting with various tasks.
