Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Design Validation Engineering Manager located in Taipei Design site.

Reporting to the Site Director, the Design Validation Engineering (DVE) Manager/Lead role involves validating the power supply unit and BBU (Battery Backup Unit) and CBU (capacitor backup unit).

What a typical day looks like:

• Lead and organize test team activities, setup efficient test methods and techniques, improve test team’s capability and product test coverage.
• Implement product testing technologies and deliver test results in compliance with specification and quality objectives.
• Perform comprehensive reviews for testing scope of products according to process requirement.
• Defining detailed test plan for PSU, BBU and CBU products in both development and production stage.
• Responsible for setting up test benches and forecasting test equipment to support future growth business.
• Perform product validation test, timely feedback on relevant issues, generate test reports, coverage and statistics data.
• Automation test development for bench level at design center through auxiliary software and tools (C, VB or python).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree or above with Power Electronics or electrical engineering background.
• At least 10 years of experience in power supply functional validation testing and 3 years min. experiences in team management.
• Familiar in Chroma ATE 8000 series test equipment and parametric checks.
• Familiar in validation test plan for power supply products in development and production stage, capable to optimize test time and understand critical parameters in each test station.
• Familiar in developing testing fixture and jig for prototype sample testing at design site and support fixture GR&R calibration at production.
• Basic hardware knowledge for AC/DC and DC/DC power supply design. Familiar with communication interfaces such SPI, UART,CANBus, CANFD, LIN and Ethernet.
• Good communication of English in written and spoken, able to travel to multiple sites including China, Malaysia, Mexico and US to support product launch.
