Job Summary:
The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, defining, and optimizing assembly processes within their scope. They will proactively identify opportunities to adapt and improve processes to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The engineer will also support the industrialization of new projects and continuous improvement of products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead PFMEA and Control Plan creation and updates, including supplier participation.

  • Design or supervise assembly/process flows for manufacturing or rework activities.

  • Create or supervise work instructions and process documentation.

  • Ensure all assembly processes operate under Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, poka-yoke, Value Stream Mapping).

  • Identify process improvements in plant and supplier operations, including cost-benefit analysis.

  • Support the Quality department in supplier qualification and selection.

  • Contribute to manufacturing and tooling cost estimates for customer quotations.

  • Conduct workflow analysis and recommend improvements in material handling and plant layout.

  • Create and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN) related to process improvements.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar).

  • 3–5 years’ experience in assembly processes in an industrial environment (automotive/plastics preferred).

  • Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.

  • Experience in project industrialization and production launch.

  • Analytical skills, problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication.

  • Proficiency in CAD and MS Office; technical English preferred.

Resumen del puesto:
El/la Ingeniero/a de Procesos de Montaje será responsable del diseño, definición y optimización de los procesos de montaje dentro de su ámbito. Se espera que identifique proactivamente oportunidades para adaptar y optimizar procesos, asegurando eficiencia, seguridad, calidad y reducción de costes. El/la ingeniero/a también apoyará la industrialización de nuevos proyectos y la mejora continua de productos y procesos.

Responsabilidades principales:

  • Liderar la creación y actualización de PFMEA y planes de control (incluyendo participación de proveedores).

  • Diseñar o supervisar flujos de montaje y procesos de fabricación o rework.

  • Elaborar o supervisar la creación de instrucciones de trabajo y documentación de procesos.

  • Asegurar que los procesos operen bajo principios de Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kanban, poka-yoke, VSM).

  • Identificar mejoras de proceso en planta y en proveedores, incluyendo análisis de coste-beneficio.

  • Apoyar al departamento de Calidad en la selección y calificación de nuevos proveedores.

  • Contribuir a estimaciones de costes de manufactura y herramientas para presupuestos a clientes.

  • Realizar análisis de flujo de trabajo y proponer mejoras en manejo de materiales y layout de planta.

  • Crear y gestionar Engineering Change Notices (ECN) relacionados con mejoras de proceso.

Requisitos:

  • Título universitario en Ingeniería (Industrial, Mecánica, Organización o similar).

  • Experiencia de 3 a 5 años en procesos de montaje en entorno industrial (preferible automoción/plásticos).

  • Conocimientos en PFMEA, planes de control, APQP, PPAP y Lean Manufacturing.

  • Experiencia en industrialización de proyectos y lanzamiento a producción.

  • Capacidad analítica, resolución de problemas, trabajo en equipo y comunicación efectiva.

  • Manejo de herramientas CAD y MS Office.

  • Inglés técnico
