Overview
You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
- Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
- Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
- Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
- Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
- Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
- Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
- Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
- Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
- Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
Qualifications
- Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
- Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes

About Flanigan's Enterprises
Flanigan's was incorporated in Florida in 1959 and commenced operating as a chain of small cocktail lounges and package liquor stores throughout South Florida. By 1970, we had established a chain of "Big Daddy's" lounges and package liquor stores between Vero Beach and Homestead, Florida.
From 1970 to 1979, we expanded our "Big Daddy Liquors" package liquor store and lounge operations throughout Florida and opened clubs in five other "Sun Belt" states.
In 1987, Flanigan's began renovating our lounges to provide full restaurant food service, and subsequently renovated and added food service to most of our lounges.
Our package liquor stores emphasize high volume business by providing customers with a wide variety of brand name and private label merchandise at discount prices. Our restaurants offers alcoholic beverages and full food service with abundant portions and reasonable prices, served in a relaxed, friendly and casual atmosphere.
What you'll do
- The host greets guests warmly, manages seating flow, and maintains cleanliness in the foyer and host station. They also handle guest inquiries and ensure a pleasant experience from arrival to departure.
