POSITION: Account Operations Specialist
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Manager
Position Summary
Act as a liaison between the customers and the Company and is responsible for coordinating with internal functions, including Supply Chain, Brand, Sales, Transportation, Warehousing, Credit, and IT. Highly knowledgeable in multiple systems and electronic data interchange processes. Utilize their experience, business acumen and leadership in communicating and resolving order management opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Support customers across multiple channels within the department which could include international, bulk, retail, club, contract, and industrial.
- Utilize integrated enterprise systems both internal and customer based to maximize profitability.
- Understand and execute the end-to-end sales process from order through shipment.
- Develop detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain (Transportation, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Planning, etc.).
- Demonstrates ability to identify and resolve issues affecting overall service to the customer and positively influence key performance indicators.
- Perform order-entry functions manually or via EDI, ensuring all orders received are processed timely and accurately.
- Utilize SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting to view inventory and order history respectively for exception-based recommendations on order management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal/external partners.
- Develop an understanding of customer strategies, business models and requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two year’s experience in customer service preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment when making service-oriented decisions that have financial implications.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and work in a high change and fast paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while paying close attention to details and maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with multiple departments while coordinating shipments and customer requests.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required; knowledge of SAP system preferred.

FLSA Designation: This position is a Salaried Exempt and not eligible for overtime.
Work Location: Minneapolis, MN – travel expected less than 10%
