We are currently seeking a Mechanical Technician to conduct servicing, corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery as per established SOPs, HSEQ and industry regulations and ensuring that all equipment and apparatus are operational at all times to support delivery of maintenance operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out in a timely manner in compliance with Company policies and procedures, customer specifications and industry standards
• Perform the administration, configuration, calibration, maintenance, programming, and qualification of assigned equipment / machinery as per established SOP’s
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on Smelter equipment and any related equipment/machinery as per contractual/customer requirements and specifications whilst adhering to quality and industry standards
• Use knowledge of equipment/machinery and mechanical processes to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment and process errors and recommend solutions by applying a wide variety of existing techniques, processes, and procedures to fulfil customer/operational requirements
• To provide on-site support to customers as and when required to ensure all equipment, machinery and tooling conform to the relevant standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensure the technical integrity and performance of mechanical equipment and machinery at all times
• Understand safety requirements and ensure all maintenance works and systems are operating in line with Company, customer and industry safety standards
• Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance and reduction of planned and unplanned maintenance
• Monitor stock requirements ensuring the suitability and availability of equipment, consumables, stock levels, raw materials etc and ensure stock replenishment is coordinated and delivered in a timely manner to support delivery/completion of maintenance works
• Gather, record, analyze, and summarize data in various formats and prepare reports of works/tasks performed as per Company and/or customer reporting requirements
• Responsible for ensuring that maintenance/works records are kept fully up to date with all additions/modifications recorded and support report preparation requirements as per Company and customer requirements
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance processes and procedures to support enhancement of operational performance
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to gain a competitive edge in the market and support achievement of Fives Services Gulf sales strategy within the region
• Understand safety requirements, maintain awareness and comply with all health and safety rules applying to all Mechanical work to ensure that safe working practices are observed as per Company and customer safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including HSEQ requirements using Company policies and procedures as appropriate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
