Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041A Slitter Operator Assistant supports the operator in the operation of the slitting machine. This role is responsible by assisting with set-up material loading, quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work area, ensuring production runs and meeting requiring specifications.
DESCRIPTION
Entry slitter position that aids the operator in the day to day duties, including: handling roll changes, making labels, weighing pallets, bringing slip sheets, roll staging, cutting cores, and taking finished goods to shipping.
These tasks are in no way all-encompassing of the position, but it gives a clear enough description of what is expected.

High School diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual is a plus.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred experience working in plastic manufacturing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
