Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041This position is responsible for preventive maintenance of shuttles in the weaving department. Conduct inspections and replacing all rotating components damaged in the shuttles and Installing in the looms once the activity is complete. This role ensures the machines run properly.
DESCRIPTION
Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the plant.
Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition identified in the workplace.
Perform preventive maintenance as assigned by monthly program.
Replace all damaged or worm components.
Maintains dust free in bearings, rollers, plastic parts guides and metal parts.
Lubricate all rotating machine components.
Monitor looms, status, corrective conditions and placing machines back into production as quickly as possible.
Report production issues once found to supervisor for quick resolution.
Maintain work area and equipment in neat and orderly condition.
Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
Keep all areas clean and follow 5S housekeeping.
Conduct other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Conducting appropriate pre-task planning activities to identify hazards and act to control the hazards prior to beginning work.
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Sewing knowledge or a related field is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Competence in operating basic tools and measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, scale).
Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
