Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041The Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of team or department within company. He plays a vital role in ensuring that tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively, in line with the company's goals and objectives.
DESCRIPTION
Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the plant.
Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition.
Leading by example in influencing safe behavior and contributing to establishing an effective safety culture.
Understanding and following all Safety procedures, wearing PPE and meeting training requirements.
Must work in a team environment to find solutions and improvements
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement.
Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any issues or concerns.
Monitor team performance; ensure tasks are performed accurately and in accordance with company standards.
Lead and manage a team or department, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Extensive knowledge of the weaving process
Application of Radius, WIP, Specs, Infinity QS, etc.
Comply with quality, production and finished product standards
Knowledge in the use of scanners, printers, scales and all work tools and devices
Follow-up of all production reports generated by the department positions
Develop, support and motivate production employees in applying our core values.
Assignment of machinery to employees, as well as monitoring compliance with goals and production effectiveness.
Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
Conduct other duties as assigned by management.
Being actively involved in the Incident Investigation process.
Conduct at least two Safety Observations every month.
COMPETENCIES
Bachelor degree.
Strong mathematical skills, understanding metric system and conversions.
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions.
A strong commitment to safety guidelines.
Very good communication skills and problem-solving ability.
Dependable and Punctual.
Ability to be organized, multitask and keep up in a fast-paced environment
Familiar and understanding FSSC 22000:2005 and ISO 9001.
Must be knowledgeable of GMPs, HACCP and LOTO.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Competence in operating basic tools and measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, scale).
Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
SCHEDULE
Day Shift, 6am to 6pm.
