About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst / Integration Analyst with strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, SaaS technology ecosystems, API and webhook-driven integrations, and data migration initiatives. This role will serve as a functional and technical bridge between our clients, product teams, engineering teams, and implementation partners—ensuring that business requirements are fully understood, well-documented, and translated into scalable, high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with modern cloud platforms, complex systems integrations, and insurance domain workflows. You will play a critical role in designing integration patterns, defining business logic, supporting data mapping/migration projects, and leading requirements throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions with internal and external stakeholders to gather business needs, integration requirements, and data workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Analyze P&C insurance claims workflows and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Conduct gap analysis between customer requirements and system capabilities.

Systems Integration & Technical Analysis

  • Design and document integration workflows using REST APIs, webhooks, message queues, and event-driven patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering to define technical integration specifications, field mappings, payload structures, and error-handling requirements.
  • Work with SaaS platform architectures to ensure integrations adhere to security, scalability, and reliability standards.
  • Review API documentation and guide clients on usage, authentication, rate limits, and best practices.

Data Migration

  • Lead data discovery, profiling, and mapping activities for legacy → platform data migrations.
  • Define migration rules, transformations, validation criteria, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on strategies, test scripts, and migration cutover plans.
  • Support mock conversions, UAT cycles, and post-migration data audits.

Project Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across P&C insurance data structures, claims workflows, product configurations, and regulatory considerations.
  • Partner with Product Management to provide domain input on roadmap, feature design, and platform integrations.
  • Support QA teams by refining test cases and validating functional outcomes.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Train and support customers during implementations and onboarding.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Integration Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solutions Consultant.
  • Hands-on experience with P&C insurance systems, ideally across policy administration, claims, underwriting, or billing.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS architectures and cloud-based technologies.
  • Deep experience with API integrations (REST/JSON), webhooks, and event-driven systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data mapping, migration planning, ETL workflows, and cross-system reconciliation.
  • Ability to read/use API documentation, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI specs, and log/monitoring tools.
  • Skilled in writing clear functional specs, user stories, sequence diagrams, and workflow documentation.
  • Proficient with SQL or basic data querying for validation/troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern P&C PAS, claims, or billing platforms
  • Exposure to integration middleware tools.
  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, IAM/OAuth, SSO, and audit/compliance considerations.
  • Insurance certifications (AINS, CPCU, etc.) are a plus.
