Overall Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Antenna/Microwave Engineering Intern to join our dynamic engineering team for the Summer of 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects, work alongside experienced engineers, and gain invaluable industry experience in the aerospace and defense sector. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of Antennas and/or Microwave engineering disciplines and is eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This paid internship will take place in Summer 2026 with a flexible May or June start date.

Key Responsibilities:

As an RF & Antenna Engineering Intern, you will work under the guidance of a mentor and assist engineering teams with a variety of tasks. Your responsibilities may include:

  • You will participate in the design, development, and analysis of microwave components and antenna systems for aerospace applications, including military aircraft antennas and large ground-based satellite antennas.
  • Participate in prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing.
  • Perform laboratory activities including test planning, execution, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations using hand-calcs and/or simulation tools to support design efforts.
  • Collaborate with other functional teams (Mechanical, Test, Manufacturing) on design, research, and development projects.
  • Document design progress, test results, and engineering processes through technical reports and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Rising junior or senior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Microwave, Electrical, or Antenna Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • A basic understanding of fundamental electrical and microwave engineering principles.
  • Basic proficiency with MATLAB and HFSS or CST software.
  • Enjoy hands-on work and a willingness to work in both an office and R&D lab environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and an inquisitive nature.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • The ability to obtain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $28.00/hr. - $35.00/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
