About this role

Overview

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Maintains strict confidentiality of staff related information. Ability to learn and effectively utilize various computer programs. Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations.  Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and various agencies at all levels of the organization.  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Able to perform several tasks at once in an organized manner.


Responsibilities

Plans and prioritizes work received to ensure daily work is completed.

Analyzes HR data to assist management with action plans to create a positive culture.

Responsible for maintaining employee files for the region.

Assists employees with the onboarding process.

Maintains good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote positive employee satisfaction.

Provides advice and counsel to supervisors on employee issues as related to compliance with regulations, laws and HR policy. 

Conducts exit interviews.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and various agencies at all levels of the organization.

Assists with coordination of employee engagement events and special projects.

Familiar with operating and troubleshooting equipment related to the position.

Ensures appropriate and timely verbal and written communication to facilitate decision-making.

Educates managers and employees regarding FirstHealth HR policies and philosophies.

Provides basic benefits information to candidates as needed and answers basic on-going benefits questions from employees.         

Assist employees and applicants with HRIS and online career portal. 

Collect departments’ performance reviews; ensure compliance of reviews are complete and accurate; submit to Corp Human Resources.   

Provides accurate employment related information for verification of employment and documenting reason for separation.

Other competencies may be required to meet the changing organizational needs.

 


Qualifications

Education/formal training/licensure/certification/experience:

Associate degree required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Two years of Human Resources experience required.  Employee relations and/or healthcare experience preferred.  HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred.
