About the Internship
Internal Audit is responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and advisory activities designed to add value and improve First PREMIER Bank's and PREMIER Bankcard LLC's operations. Internal Audit's purpose is to help management accomplish its objectives by bringing a systemic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assists in analyzing complex business data sets from various source systems and ensures the completeness and accuracy of data.
• Assists in identifying and interpreting patterns, trends and correlations among the various data sets. 
• Assists in conducting data analytics through the use of Excel, SQL or other tools by working with other auditors to gather business requirements for data analysis to support audit planning and/or tests.

• Maintains documentation of analysis conducted to support audit conclusions.

• Perform audits of various areas throughout the organization. 
• Document issues identified through the audits.
• Work with audit team on various projects.
• Flexible and willing to learn.
• Conduct tasks in a manner that complies with all consumer protection regulations and treats consumers fairly.

Skills and Qualifications

• Applicant should be enrolled in or pursuing higher education with field of study in a technology-related field, data sciences, or similar field preferred.
• Proficient with Word and Excel software programs. 
• Familiar with SQL, Exploratory Analysis and PowerBI.
• Familiar with Exploratory Analysis
• Out of the box data manipulation skills
• Familiar with data warehouse and data life cycle structure
• Familiar with Python, R, Data Modeling, and Statistical Testing 
• Possess intermediate to exceptional PC skills, including analytical abilities.
• Ability to be patient and attentive to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening skills as well as the ability to use positive language.
• Time management skills.
