About the Role

Supports the Business Banking team by managing loan processes, maintaining accurate customer and financial data, and ensuring seamless communication between clients and relationship managers. Delivers exceptional service by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate financial solutions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities ​

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares, reviews, and maintains loan documentation during the origination process using standardized checklists to ensure completeness and accuracy for credit evaluation. Gathers and verifies all necessary documentation for approval. Assists with opening deposit accounts and proactively recommends tailored banking solutions.
  • Serves as a primary liaison for customers and relationship managers, delivering prompt and professional support, primarily via phone and email. Generally provides assistance with account services and transactions, digital and loan support, and specialized banking needs. Facilitates communication and workflow throughout the lending process.
  • Performs ongoing monitoring of customer accounts, processes financial transactions, and ensures data integrity. Analyzes customer profiles to identify and recommend additional banking products aligned with their evolving financial needs.
  • Stays informed on primarily loan and deposit products through periodic training, especially during product launches. Leverages product knowledge to identify opportunities during service interactions, offering solutions that address customer concerns. Has general knowledge of all other services.
  • Corrects discrepancies discovered during audits. Maintains accurate documentation and ensures proper record compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards. Records and handles document retention in accordance with bank policies.

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Communicates clearly and professionally across both written and verbal channels, fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail by recognizing nuances, identifying discrepancies, and consistently delivering high-quality, accurate work. 
  • Applies critical thinking to effectively troubleshoot challenges and implement practical, timely solutions.
  • Adapts readily to changing processes, regulations, and technologies, maintaining a positive and flexible approach to continuous improvement.
  • Organizes tasks, information, and resources efficiently to optimize workflow. Prioritizes effectively and manages time to meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in administrative, banking, or financial services experience is required. Preferably one year in a customer-facing or lending support role.
  • One year of prior experience in commercial banking, loan processing, or business banking support is preferred.
  • Coursework or certifications in banking operations, financial services, or risk management are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting is preferred.
