This position is responsible for providing advanced technical support to data processing systems. Analyzes existing and proposed data processing systems or procedures that improve processing capabilities. Assists the installation of programs and procedures developed in coordination with end user groups. Enhances data processing systems and procedures through system analysis, coding, testing, and other activities that facilitate technical business objectives. May occasionally guide less experienced analysts in the work group.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs analysis for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
- System Testing - Thoroughly tests systems to ensure proper installation of new software, system changes, and overall efficiency. Evaluates and conveys testing results. Performs coding and assists in implementing system modifications and enhancements.
- Business Support - Provides technical support by performing coding, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve processing capabilities. Works closely with business units and operation teams to support their business objectives.
- Technical Proficiency - Utilizes knowledge to develop or install appropriate computer software. Serves as a resource on data processing systems and procedures.
- On-call Support - Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance
Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science Preferred
Area of Experience:
We are looking for a full stack developer with experience in the following technologies and methodologies:
- Java with Spring Boot, service oriented development, Containerization in Kubernetes/OpenShift,
- API Development and some exposure to front end development in React.
- Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following experience:
- ETL development using products such as Nifi and Airflow.
Although not a must, experience in ETL development using .Net, SSIS and SQLServer would be an advantage for this role.
Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology ticketing system, Ability to build strong collaborative and productive relationships, In-depth knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile), Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis.
If hired in NJ, the base pay for this position is generally between $110000 and $130000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
