Our platform automates workflows like prior auth, eligibility checks, and benefit verification by integrating deeply into providers' operations and systems.We’re a fast-moving, founder-led startup backed by top-tier investors and built by a team with deep experience in healthcare, operations, and applied AI.About the RoleWe’re hiring a hands-on Product Lead Engineer who will own an entire slice of our AI platform. You’ll pair your product intuition with engineering chops to design and ship automation in one of our critical healthcare domains, such as accounts receivable.You’ll partner daily with our engineers and RCM subject-matter experts to translate real-world edge cases into clear specs and measurable wins.We expect the right candidate to evolve from this role into a full-fledged Director of Product Engineering with responsibility for their healthcare domain of ownership.ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Automation VisionYou connect the dots from clinician note to paid claimMap user journey flow and turn it into a clear product roadmapDefine success metrics and set OKRs around themPrioritize work in thin, testable slices in each releaseDesign & Ship Cross-Domain FeaturesYou translate ideas into shipped products that move numbersLead discovery sessions, quick prototypes, and spec writing for product workflows (e.g., voice capture workflow for Voice Scribe product)Pair with engineering teams to choose the right models, rules, or APIsRun customer pilots, gather structured feedback, and iterateDrive Quality, Compliance, & Continuous ImprovementYou keep the system accurate, secure, and always learningInstrument live dashboards for accuracy, latency, and cash-flow KPIs; investigate outliers and ship rapid fixesBuild human-in-the-loop reviews where needed, feeding every approve/edit/reject back into model or rule tuningHelp to bake in HIPAA controls, audit trails, and payer-rule updates into each releaseQualificationsData-driven mindset—you monitor accuracy, denial impact, and cycle time, then iterate rapidly to lift the numbersClear communicator who can interview coders, present trade-offs to leadership, and document decisions for engineersSecurity & privacy savvy, designing features that protect PHI and withstand payer or regulatory auditsGrowth potential: eager to own the coding-automation roadmap now and evolve into a team-lead or product-lead role as Fira scales to new specialties
