Position Overview:

Finning Canada is hiring two permanent Technical Service Representatives - Expanded Mining Products (EMP) to support our Service Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and providing technical support for shovel and drill machines across mining operations. You will ensure that equipment operation and maintenance meet Caterpillar OEM standards and specifications, while proactively helping customers improve performance and reliability. Key duties include scheduling customer visits, resolving customer concerns, and anticipating future customer requirements to deliver best‑in‑class service and support.

The role may be based in BC and/or AB.

· For this position, the expected base salary range is between $105,000 and $125,000 annually. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and the candidate's experience, qualifications and fit for the role.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

·       Responsible for scheduling customer visits, setting agendas and writing monthly reports on customer update

·       Liaison with Finning Parts Department to have the necessary parts delivered to the Mining customer site

·       Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled

·       Send technical analysis to the customers, and provide the customer with recommended service options

·       Based on the technical audit of the machine and analysis report, the TSR will make recommendations to the customer on what components will need to be changed

·       Must develop and maintain open lines of communication with all supportive departments

Experience:

·       Seasoned HET /Millwright or P. Engg with significant mechanical or high voltage electrical experience or with appropriate mining experience

·       Minimum 5 years experience in a customer service role

·       Shovel and Drills equipment knowledge

·       Caterpillar equipment knowledge is considered an asset

·       Strong communication skills including verbal and written

·       Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail

·       Contribute positively to a quality team environment

·       Strong problem-solving skills

·       Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

·       Ability to work well under pressure

·       Self-starter and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

Please NOTE:

  • Job is based out of the BC region or Edmonton

  • Must be able to work a 7x7 shift work rotation.

  • Company vehicle provided

  • Must be able to work from heights and work outside for extended amounts of time

  • Must be able to gain access to mine sites

Driver's Abstract:  This offer is contingent on a satisfactory review of your driver's abstract which may be obtained at any local registry branch and the cost of this Driver's Abstract will be the candidates' responsibility.  

You are required to maintain a valid Driver's License at all times and agree to provide an Annual Driver's Abstract.  If at any time your Driver's License is revoked or restricted, you are required to inform the Company immediately.
