Lead and manage Inside Equipment Sales Representatives (40%)
Inspire sales and market share performance through a culture of creativity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Development of plans to achieve annual sales targets.
Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members to meet retail sales standards.
Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Develop and implement retail sales experience strategies (25%)
Develop and implement commercial recommendations to support customer solutions and drive retail customer experience metrics.
Collaborate with product managers to implement retail value proposition and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Design equipment display and merchandising as well as promotional plans to enhance customer engagement.
Analyze retail performance metrics with frequency and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns with retail and Cat Compact objectives.
Collaborate with Caterpillar to implement Cat Compact retail standards, including the support of branch inventory requirements.
Drive transformational initiatives within the retail portfolio (15%)
Identify process gaps and implement innovative solutions for efficiency.
Lead change management efforts to integrate new retail technologies.
Champion best practices across all retail locations to standardize operations.
Promote and advocate for digital tools and e‑commerce integration for retail growth.
Manage tools, systems, and processes (10%)
Adoption and utilization of CRM and sales insights tools to support performance management.
Monitor KPIs and generate reports for leadership review.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives for operational workflows.
Maintain accurate customer and sales data for decision‑making.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (10%)
Coordinate with product managers for seamless customer interactions.
Work closely with branch retail champions to align retail and inside sales efforts.
Facilitate communication between sales, service, parts, and marketing teams.
Support cross‑training initiatives to enhance retail solution selling and the identification of further sales opportunities within the Finning enterprise.
Education & Experience
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in business, retail management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in retail sales management and team leadership, with a proven track record in driving transformational initiatives.
Experience in coaching, mentoring, and training sales teams.
Extensive experience in retail sales management, including merchandising, retail operations, and delivering a consistent and premium customer experience.
Strong understanding of sales processes, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, and conversion strategies.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, facilitation, and learning initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation, influencing, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
Ability to build strong relationships and interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Exceptional organizational, planning, and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of company policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements within a retail or industrial sales environment.
