Our Preventative Maintenance Specialists are responsible for performing equipment maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, forestry and mining equipment. Both in Shop and in the Field.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions

• Performs scheduled oil sampling and change fluid filters as per contract

• agreement.

• Perform maintenance as per machine specific checklist and conduct visual

• machine condition reports.

• Coordinate ordering parts, maintain and stock service truck.
• Fluent in electronic communication and service reporting
• Must be able to make first customer contact for PM scheduling
• Environmentally responsible in sensitive work areas.

• Preventative Maintenance Specialists are required to be flexible in managing their work schedule, both in regard to days, hours and overtime.
• As such a bonus of twenty dollars ($20.00) per PM inspection will be paid as an incentive to work the irregular schedule.

Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement

Specific Skills & Experience

• Journeyperson Ticket considered an asset
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
• Experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems is beneficial
• Strong customer communication skills

Important Details:

• This is a position based out of our Surrey facility on a Monday to Friday shift
• Out of town assignments are required on an intermittent basis
• $20.00 per PM inspection will be paid as an incentive to work the irregular schedule.

• A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
• Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
