Position Overview:

Effectively plan, schedule and manage service workload and resources to meet customers’ expectations for equipment service and maintenance. Responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements of the branch and to set the strategy and goals for the branch operations business plan.

This role is located in Lethbridge working a Monday to Friday shift however will require flexibility to meet business needs.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of staff, including recruitment and selection, orientation, coaching and mentoring, performance feedback, and supporting growth and development opportunities
  • Support a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring that all safety practices and policies are followed by employees, contractors and on site customers
  • Manage and monitor the work order process
  • Continually identify and recommend opportunities to improve service to customers
  • Responsible for managing service operations and assets to achieve best possible financial results, aligned with the corporate strategy and personal objectives
  • Effective planning, management and reporting of service financial results, assets and facilities requirements
  • Meet or exceed Service Work In Progress (SWIP) targets by effective management of workload and management of the Work Order process
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and staff while maintaining confidentiality
  • Foster an effective work environment which successfully contributes to employee engagement and the achievement of the business goals


Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years in a mechanical service environment
  • Journeyman HET would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in a dealership environment
  • Experience managing in a union environment would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and service support systems
