Job Description:

Major Job Functions

  • Trouble shoot, repair and maintain mining equipment
  • Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
  • Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment

Specific Skills & Experience

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Certification
  • 5+ years experience troubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance on the following (but not limited to) equipment: D6‐D8 Dozers, Track-Hoes, Articulated Rock Trucks, 775-777 Haul Trucks, Graders, Generators, Loaders, Drills & Shovels
  • Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
  • Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience

Important Details:

  • 12 Hours per Day
  • 21 x 21 Continuous Day Shift / Night Shift Rotation (21 Days/21 Off/21 Nights)
  • Travel Allowance to get to marshalling point
  • Up to $1,200 per rotation (to cover associated costs of getting to marshalling point)
  • Customer flights provided from Edmonton or Yellowknife
  • Customer Camp provided
