Position Overview:

Finning Canada is seeking Field experienced Journeypersons Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our industry leading team at the Artemis Blackwater Mine on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and rebuilds on a variety of CAT equipment such as 793 Haul Trucks, 6015, 6040 and 6060 Shovels, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators, and 18 Graders.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions

• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment in an active Mine environment
• Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement

Specific Skills & Experience

• Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• 10+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended
• Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines 793 Haul Trucks, 6015, 6040 and 6060 Shovels, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators, and 18 Graders

Important Details:

• This role supports our customer located at Artemis Blackwater Mine on a 14x14 Shift
• A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
